Notice of Pesticide Use along Township of Uxbridge Roads

The Township of Uxbridge intends to control noxious weeds along pre-selected rural Concession roadsides north of Davis Drive. Areas to be sprayed are marked in green on the maps below (click to enlarge).  The following pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) will be used:

Originally introduced in 2020 as an alternative to the fireworks display, the contest was revived last year with great success. Canada Day Celebrations at Elgin Park on July 1st, 2025

The Township of Uxbridge will celebrate Canada Day on July 1st in Elgin Park. The event will include fun family activities and the evening will be capped off with fireworks at dusk. The evening fireworks display offers the flexibility of being able to spend the day with family and friends celebrating however desired while still being offered a great way to finish off the day with a bang!

Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter Hosting Microchip Clinic July 12th

The Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter is hosting another Microchip Clinic on Saturday, July 12th, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Uxbridge-Scugog Shelter (1360 Reach St., Port Perry, ON). 

There is a $30 fee for the service and all proceeds from the clinic support the extra medical needs for animals in their care.
